This contract is a legally binding document ensuring the buyer a kitten of quality standard, and ensuring the seller an agreement of all statements and restrictions given in the seller’s policy.

This purchase is between Debra J. Johnson, owner of Velvet Thunder Cattery of Valparaiso, Indiana, and:

This contract is legally binding solely between seller, Debra J. Johnson, and buyer, __________________, and is legally binding under the laws of the state of Indiana. This contract and its agreements are non-transferable to other parties, affiliates, or representation of buyer.

If cat/kitten is to be held by Velvet Thunder Cattery, a $200 down payment is required.

If shipping is required, an additional $275 is required for shipping and handling fees.

In exchange for the above amount of money paid by buyer and received by seller, upon which a receipt of verification shall be printed, copied, and distributed to both parties, seller agrees to deliver the Bengal kitten described above in the most practical, safe, and convenient way to buyer.

By Signing this Contract, Buyer Agrees To:

Isolate the kitten from other pets/animals for a period not less than 14 days.
Have the kitten examined by a certified veterinarian within 72 hours* of the kitten arriving at buyers home and confirm by faxing signed visit record to Velvet Thunder Cattery
Provide proper vaccinations for the kitten on a schedule determined to be proper by a certified veterinarian.
Maintain the kitten as an indoor-only pet.
Provide a safe and healthy environment for this kitten.
Keep the kitten clean, well-fed with nutritious food, fresh water, and provide the kitten with plenty of attention.
Never have any of the kitten's paws de-clawed.
Provide immediate medical care if the cat/kitten shows signs of illness or distress.
Notify Velvet Thunder Cattery if, for any reason, you can no longer keep this kitten in your home.
Never sale, lease, lend, give, or abandon the kitten to a shelter, pound, pet store, animal humane organization, veterinarian, researcher organization, or any similar organization, institution, or person.
Never neglect or abuse this kitten physically or psychologically
Make provision for the care of the kitten in case you should die or otherwise become unable to care for the kitten.
Abide by the return privileges as stated in the attached Terms and Conditions.
Abide by the breach of contract terms as stated in the attached Terms and Conditions.
Provide proof from your veterinarian that the kitten altered (spay/neuter) on or before ____________ or buyer will be in breach of contract, provide proof of operation via faxing or e-mailing veterinary verification

By Signing this Contract, Seller Agrees To:

Guarantee the health of the kitten in accordance with the attached Health Guarantee.
Provide a health record that assures all necessary inoculations are current.
Provide a 5 generation pedigree (attached).
Provide TICA registration application with appropriate information.

The Terms and Conditions and the Health Guarantee, which are attached, are a part of this contract agreement.
